Thought I would do the Centopassi again. Five days, two great hotels, great & challenging routes I'm sure,
great food & company.
Did the first one in 2003 on a Multistrada 1000. Should have my new Multistrada 1200 Sport by then, so seemed the ideal event !
Will take three or four days to ride to the start at Lake Garda, & after the event will meet my wife on Lake Como for four days, & then take another four days to ride home. That should be a nice two week + trip !Big smile

DOC  Surry & Sussex along withthe London branch would like to invite you toa ride out on the 25th July for the Motoitaliano Extravaganza Day at Sammy Millers Museum, BashleyCross Roads, New Milton, Hampshire, BH25 5SZ.

 

The start time for any one in the Surry& Sussex area will be some time around 08:30/08:45 from the Main Building Shoreham Airport.

 

Start time for any one in the LondonArea will be around 08:30/08:45 from the The Ship, Jews Row Wandsworth.

 

Therunning time from Shoreham is about 2hrs and 83 miles

 

Therunning time from Wandsworth is also about 2hrs and 85 via the M3 or 110 viathe A3

So please have a full tank.

 

If you would like to make it a weekendevent, you may just like to take advantage of the easy camping nearby,some of the DOC members will be.

 

The Museum is open from 10:00 until 16:00 and the entry cost is £5:90 Adults and £3:00 Children, the tearoom is also open from10:00 and is out side of the Museum

 

The museum houses the finest collection of fully restored motorcycles in Europe,including factory racers and exotic prototypes, plus memorabilia spanning 7decades of motorcycling for sport and for pleasure.

There are over 400 rare and classic motorcycles on display in fourgalleries.

This is a living museum and. Sammy has taken his motorcycles todemonstrations at race circuits throughout Europe and asfar away as New Zealandand America.

Hi to all.
 
Is anyone interested in coming along to the above event to be held at Hopetoun House near Edinburgh on 15/08/10? We arranged a smaller event last year which was restricted by Hopetoun's uncertainty over it's success. As it was a fantastic day they have allowed us to promote it properly for this year.
 
Last year we had 2 Desmosedici bikes and 2 Benelli along with a huge collection of other Ducati and Moto Guzzi. Somehow we didn't get any Aprilia or MV (we nearly got some MV's but they pulled out due to a little rain first thing). We also had a big collection of exotic cars with over 20 different Ferraris, some Lambos and the usual Fiats and Alfas. Pics are on Pistonheads, SDC's site via Ducati up North and  Barchetta-Scotland.co.uk. Hopetoun House is a great backdrop for the occasion so keep your eyes peeled for more info or better still send me a message letting me know you're interested and I'll make sure you get the info.
 
This year looks to be bigger and I will personally do my best to some Aprilia there and possibly some MV's too. We should get a selection of scooters (Vespa, Lambretta) also this year.
 
There will also be trade stands for some of the 'big' names

In previous years the *** have funded free entry passes for this annual event, unfortunately I have been unable to obtain a decision from the ** for the funding this year,Angry and even if at this late stage this was forthcoming I can't see how the passes would have been distributed as there is no *****  being produced Unhappy

HOWEVER!

I have spoken to Dick today and he has kindly agreed to give ALL Ducatis FREE entry providing you send him a stamped self addressed envelope........that's all you have to do so it's down to you Big smile

There will be a DUCATI only parking area inside the show ground so you don't need to park in the outside car park, just ride down to the entrance and show your pass. We are normally located at the top of the hill by the marquees.
