Dont forget you'll need those backless chaps like R-L wears for that extra bit of grip.....

Erm, well yes and no....

Went up on the Multi first thing. Did the paperwork and Stu turned up and we went to Loomies for a coffee.

Went to leave Loomies and it stalled twice in the car park in neutral and then again in the fuel station, then another 6 times before I got to Moto Rapido.

So I decided to go back straight away instead of getting home then saying about it.

Tom and the guys were great. He looked back and the previous owner had had the same issue and Ducati had authorised a replacement ECU but then the Customer said the problem had stopped so it was never fitted.....

So the bike is with them for ECU to be fitted (and tuning etc checked) and I rode back on a new Monster 1100 which was fun!

Tom said they would drop off the 1098 and also the bits that came with it that I could not carry......

So today did 60 miles on a Multi, 70 on a 1098 and 70 so far on a Monster!

Stu did video from his bike this morning so there may be some footage of my slow riding up later!

Thats a Bummer Ozz !

Sorry that your first ride was an anti-climax.

I remember picking up my Tricolore in December in the pouring rain, that was an interesting 50 mile ride home !!

Hope it arrives all fixed ready for the weekend Big smile

When I got to Moto Rapido there was a guy outside talking to one of the mechanics and he had a Tricolore and was asking what bits should have come with it (ECU etc) as whoever he had bought it from had not given him them........

I enjoyed the 1098 while I was riding it apart from one thing which may be me or even relating to the stalling issue: When at about 3k revs and twist the throttle on slightly there was like a thunk noise and a thump I felt through the tank. Thinking about it it was almost like it was trying to stall perhaps so may be cured shortly!

The test of any dealer is when things are not quite right.

Have spoken to Tom this afternoon and the stalling is fixed and both him and Alan have felt the thunk noise aswell..

They think it is an injector but rather than just put cleaner through and fob me off they are going to strip it down and make sure everything is ok.

The service has been second to none (in line with what other people have told me about them).....

Its such a clean bike Ozz and from such a good bunch of guys that will ofcourse sort the glitch to your satisfaction.
I however have to state that i said a horrible un truth earlier after your kind invite of a test ride and will carry on not taking test rides on any Ducatis,Henners?,Dave?Arthur? as i know that if i did,i would have to buy one................Big smile

Saw Tom and David this evening when I dropped my SPS off - they were confident that they'll sort what ever is the problem. I had some similar issues when I tested the SPS before I bought her in Feburary and they were brilliant Smile We love Ducatis because they are tempremental! (We love women for the same reason however Tom said Snells couldn't help me with mine ......)

My Tricolore has been very reliable, has more than 12k on the clock(s) now and hardly ever a problem.

Great bike Big smile

Well I could not wait for it to be delivered so went over and collected it this afternoon.

One word: WOW!

Completely different bike to when I collected last week. Smoother and pulls like a train.

Really pleased. Negatives: Can't get my arm position right yet so they hurt a bit after 120 miles today. Apart from that......
